Congratulations to Warren Ralph who was last night inducted into the West Australian Hall of Fame. He has the distinction of being Claremont’s greatest goal-kicker --- 564 from 123 league matches --- and was the WAFL’s leading goal-kicker four times --- 1980 (87 goals), 1981 (127), 1982 (115) and 1983 (128). Liam Henry Has A Touch Of Magic

Slightly-built and curly-haired, teenage schoolboy Liam Henry lit up Claremont Oval on a dull, wet and wintry morning with a sparkling exhibition in a forward pocket in an intraclub scratch match last Saturday.

Colts Pre-Season Report

Optus WAFL Womens competition confirmed for 2019

A new West Australian Football League Women’s (WAFLW) competition will kick off in 2019, with five teams to compete in the inaugural Optus WAFLW Premiership Season.

East Fremantle, Claremont, Peel Thunder, Subiaco and Swan Districts will each field a WAFLW team in 2019, with South Fremantle receiving a provisional license for 2020.

West Australian Football Commission CEO Gavin Taylor said the WAFLW competition was an exciting step forward for football in WA that would complete the talent development pathway from Auskick to AFLW.

Our pre-Xmas training phase was extremely positive. Our retention of players and being able to add Declan Mountford, Harry McCracken, Jack Bradshaw and Callan England plus a host of eager and talented colts boys has made it an exciting place to be. A number of new faces are having a crack as well and it wouldn’t surprise me to see a couple step up. Our post Xmas training has also started well.

Curren's Injury Blow

Pre-season training is always a gruelling experience, none more so than for Tom Curren who suffered a freak accident just prior to the Christmas break. Whilst competing for a loose ball, Tom made awkward contact with an opponent and suffered a neck injury in the process.
