Haydn Busher gave Claremont fans a glimpse of what they can look forward to in 2015 after an impressive display in the Tigers’ 30-point victory over East Perth at Medibank Stadium.

Despite his four shots at goal registering 1.3, the former Perth player provided a focal point in the Tigers’ forward line, and was the beneficiary of some slick ball-movement and space to lead into.

Tigers Pounce On Royals

Claremont has continued its fine run of form from the second half of 2014 after defeating East Perth by 30 points in a pre-season match at Medibank Stadium.

After holding the Royals scoreless in the opening term, the Tigers never looked back as they prevailed 11.9 (75) to 7.3 (45) despite having several experienced players on the sidelines.

Jake Murphy, Mark Seaby, Tom Taylor, Beau Maister, Tom Swift, Kepler Bradley, Jack Bradshaw, Jordan McAllister and Tom Willett did not feature for the Tigers, while Anton Hamp was impressive for the Reserves after an injury-interrupted pre-season.

Swift Hungry For More Success

Tom Swift has the hunger for football back and is primed to make his return with the Claremont Football Club in 2015.

Since quitting footy at just 22 to focus on his studies, the former West Coast and Tigers midfielder has completed a Commerce degree at UWA, and is pursuing a career in finance.

But Swift is now itching to get back on the park, alongside his mates at Tigerland.

“It’s pretty exciting.” Swift said.

Baby Steps For Beau

Beau Maister is fighting to get back playing footy for the Claremont Football Club, after finding himself in the fight of his life at the end of last year.

Just weeks after announcing he’d be returning to Tigerland in 2015, the 28 year old was struck down with golden staph. Doctors were unable to pinpoint whether he’d contracted the potentially deadly infection from any of the three surgeries he’d had over the previous six months.

2015 Claremont WAFL Fixtures

The 2015 WAFL Season will commence with a full round of matches on the weekend of March 21st, two weeks prior to the beginning of the AFL Season.

The days and times of games in each round, which may include Saturday, Sunday or weekday fixtures, will be confirmed as soon as the WAFL broadcast arrangements have been finalised.
