Claremont face East Perth for just the second time this season when the two sides meet at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.

The Tigers will be looking for consecutive wins after defeating Swans in round 19 and jumping back in to the top five, while the Royals claimed a thrilling win over rivals West Perth and will be looking for their fourth straight victory.

A win for Claremont would see them draw level with East Perth on nine wins with a game in hand, however, a win for the Royals would open up a two-game buffer on the Tigers and could see them rise to second position depending on other results.

Claremont have reclaimed fifth position on the ladder after defeating Swan Districts by 15 points at the Show Grounds.

Despite Swans hitting the front in the final term and another late fadeout seemingly on the cards, the Tigers kicked the final three goals of the game to run out winners, 13.11 (89) to 10.14 (74).

The win comes as a huge relief for the Tigers and ends a two-game losing streak, with the side now trailing fourth-placed East Perth by just one win with a game in hand.

Four-quarter performances have been rare for the Tigers in 2015, however, the side produced some of their best football for the season at times, and responded when challenged.

Claremont’s (Reserves) chances of playing finals are on a knifes edge after the Tigers suffered a 15-point defeat to Swan Districts at the Show Grounds.

The 9.8 (62) to 11.11 (77) loss sees Claremont remain in sixth position on the ladder, two wins behind fifth-placed East Perth with a game in hand and a superior percentage.

However, the Tigers have won just two of their past eight games and have averaged only 75 points in the process.

The Tigers were well in the contest as they turned for home trailing the Falcons by 13 points, however, a six-goal-to-one final term saw the hosts run out comfortable winners, 17.13 (115) to 10.11 (71) and claim their eighth win for the season.

The 18.11 (119) to 4.6 (30) victory sees the Tigers move to sixth position on the ladder and was set up by a four-goal-to-one opening term.

Shane McAdam and Lawrence Evans both kicked three majors, while the Tigers had 10 individual goal kickers and restricted the Thunder to their second-lowest score for the season.

Claremont face Peel Thunder for the third this season when the two teams meet at the Show Grounds this Saturday.

Both teams recorded hard-fought wins in round 16 and with just four points separating them on the ladder, a victory for either side is crucial as the run to finals heats up.
