Round 18 Preview Claremont vs. West Perth
Claremont will be looking to return to the winners list when they face West Perth at HBF Arena on Saturday.
The Tigers have enjoyed a healthy record at the venue in recent seasons – winning the last three games between the two teams.
The sides have met just once in 2015, with the Tigers recording their first win for the season after a 20-point win back in round seven.
The Tigers suffered a 22-point defeat to Peel Thunder in round 17, while an inaccurate Falcons lost a thrilling contest against Swan Districts.
Goals have been hard to come by for Claremont in recent weeks, with the side failing to kick 10 majors in each of its last two games.
Shane McAdam will push his case for selection after kicking three goals in the Reserves against Peel, while captain Jake Murphy played his second game since returning from injury and was prominent in the victory.
With the sixth-placed Tigers trailing the second-placed Falcons by two wins on the ladder, the match is crucial to both sides as finals approach.
Ruckman Mark Seaby and Chris Keunen have been in outstanding form for their respective teams, and with both sides boasting strong midfields, the big men’s ability to provide first use of the football and cover the ground will go a long way to deciding the result.
The Claremont Football Club encourages all members and fans to attend the game, as a win for the Tigers could see the team reclaim its spot in the top five depending on other results.
Bounce down is 2.15pm.
