Round 17 Preview Claremont vs. Peel Thunder
Claremont face Peel Thunder for the third this season when the two teams meet at the Show Grounds this Saturday.
Both teams recorded hard-fought wins in round 16 and with just four points separating them on the ladder, a victory for either side is crucial as the run to finals heats up.
The Tigers were unconvincing in their narrow win over the Bulldogs, and will be looking for a four-quarter performance and their eighth victory in nine games.
The Tigers have a game in hand and a superior percentage over the third-placed Thunder, with the teams sharing the honours so far this season in their previous encounters.
The navy and gold claimed a big win in the corresponding fixture back in round 10, and will be looking for their third straight victory.
Captain Jake Murphy and Tom Swift will push their case for selection after promising games in the Reserves as they return from injury, while small forwards Jack Bradshaw and Leroy Jetta will look to make the most of their opportunities in front of goal for their respective sides.
The Claremont Football Club encourages all members and fans to attend the game, as the Tigers look to continue their march up the ladder.
Bounce down is 2.15pm.
