Dual Claremont premiership player Jess Laurie is returning to Perth after three years in Melbourne and is looking forward keenly to resuming with the Tigers in 2017.
The tough 26-year-old half-back flanker trained with Claremont at John XXIII College Oval on Wednesday night and aims to work hard when the pre-season preparation resumes after the Christmas break.

2017 is set to be a big year for the Claremont Football Club with the completion of the redevelopment at Claremont Oval, as the mighty Tigers get set to return home under a new-look coaching panel.
Darren Harris has replaced Michael Broadbridge as senior coach and will lead the club into its new era, with the West Perth premiership captain and coach to operate alongside several new faces.

Claremont trio Sam Petrevski-Seton, Darcy Cameron and Jake Waterman are set to fulfil their dreams of playing at the highest level after the three Tigers were selected in the NAB AFL Draft.

After 17 games across four injury-interrupted seasons with St Kilda, Tom Lee has returned to Claremont and will add invaluable experience to the Tigers’ playing stocks in 2017.
Lee, 25, was delisted by the Saints despite some mixed signals from the AFL club about whether he had earned another contract, but has taken it in his stride and is ready to move on.
Claremont Football Club members and supporters are mourning the deaths in the past week of talented players Neville Roberts and Murray Ward who excelled in the 1950s and early 1960s.
Roberts, fondly known as Nifty, and “Micky” Ward made their debut in league football in the first-round match of the 1955 season when lined up against Swan Districts at Subiaco Oval on April 16.
For those of you who have passed by Davies Road in recent times you would have seen the amazing progress of the Club’s new facility. It has risen out of the ground at rapid pace since the underground carpark was completed to the stage where installation of the roof of the three story building has commenced.
