2026 NAIDOC Guernsey

Author: Admin

The 2026 Claremont Football Club NAIDOC jumper was designed by Colts players Robert Farmer and Elijah Williams, who are both from our Great Southern region.

The artwork tells the story of their journey from the Great Southern to Claremont and the sense of connection they have found through the football club and community.

On the front of the jumper are two handprints representing the designers themselves. Flowing lines extend from the handprints, symbolising their journey from the Great Southern into Perth and the connections they have built through Claremont Football Club.

Surrounding the club logo are six meeting circles, representing the six football programs within the Club – Futures, Colts, Reserves, Men’s League, Rogers Cup and Women’s League. Together, these circles symbolise unity and the idea that everyone belongs to one football family.

Along each side of the jumper are traditional Aboriginal designs representing connection. The larger artwork positioned on the lower right of the jumper reinforces the message that, regardless of which team or program you represent, everyone is united as one Club.

The red elements throughout the design represent the rich red earth of the Kimberley, paying tribute to Country and one of Claremont’s regional zones.

On the back of the jumper are the handprints of both artists once again, surrounded by circles and connecting red pathways that continue the theme of connection – to family, Country, teammates and the broader Claremont community.

Robert and Elijah said having the opportunity to design the Club’s NAIDOC jumper is a tremendous privilege. It represents not only their own story, but also their families, heritage and the connection between communities and the Claremont Football Club. Seeing every Claremont player wear the jumper is a source of immense pride and a powerful celebration of culture, unity and belonging.
