Claremont (Colts) will be chasing their second premiership in three years after defeating Swan Districts by 23 points in the second semi final at Bendigo Bank Stadium and booking a place in the grand final.

A blistering six-goal-to-one opening term and dominant third quarter paved the way for the Tigers’ healthy win, 12.14 (86) to 9.9 (63).

Tigers’ Season Comes to an End

Claremont have been eliminated from the finals after a 32-point defeat to East Perth at Medibank Stadium.

Despite the Tigers trailing by just four points at three-quarter time, the side were kept scoreless in the final term as the Royals kicked 4.3 to prevail 13.15 (93) to 9.7 (61).

The final term continued a concerning trend for the Tigers with the side being held goalless for the fifth time in 11 matches, while the team only won seven final quarters for the season.

Keifer Yu’s Milestone

The main reason why Keifer Yu’s sturdy body has been battered, bruised and broken has been his ferocious and fearless attack on the ball at all times.

He has never shirked a physical battle on the field, but he has paid the penalty for his inspirational courage by having suffered a series of injuries --- to his back, arms and legs. And these ailments have forced him to miss quite a few matches during his seven years at Claremont.

Never one to complain, the 24-year-old Yu has been rewarded for his perseverance and dedication by representing the club with distinction in every 20 league matches this year.

Elimination Final Preview Claremont vs. East Perth

Claremont face East Perth at Medibank Stadium on Sunday in a match which will see the winner progress to the semi-finals and face either West Perth or Peel Thunder.

The Tigers produced a stirring comeback to defeat the Falcons in round 23, while the Royals were gallant in defeat to Subiaco.

Both teams have discovered their better form in the second half of 2015 with Claremont winning 10 of its last 15 games to finish fifth after a 0-5 start, while East Perth won five of their last six to finish in fourth.

Tigers Lock in Finals

Claremont have staged a remarkable last-quarter comeback to defeat West Perth by two points at HBF Arena and finish the home-and-away season in fifth position.

The 9.15 (69) to 10.7 (67) result means the Tigers replace Swan Districts in the top five and will now face East Perth at Medibank Stadium in an elimination final.

Despite trailing by 25 points in the final term, the last four goals of the game saw the Tigers claim the most unlikely victory after an error-riddled contest for the first three-and-a-half quarters.

Claremont are also the first team to defeat West Perth at HBF Arena this season.

Tigers and Falcons Draw

Claremont (Reserves) have drawn with West Perth at HBF Arena in a result which sees the Tigers finish the season with seven-and-a-half wins.

The 7.10 (52) to 6.16 (52) score line means Claremont finished in sixth position on the ladder, while the Falcons finish in fourth with 10 wins and two draws and will host East Perth in the first week of finals.

Lachlan Davey, Ben Higgs, Steven Edwards, Sam Bevan and Keegan Knott all worked hard for the Tigers, while Darcy Cameron was dominant in the ruck and Bronson Harry kicked two goals.

Tigers Secure Top Spot

Claremont (Colts) have secured top position and a bye in the first week of finals after an 83-point win over West Perth at HBF Arena.

The 17.16 (118) to 5.5 (35) thumping sees the Tigers finish in first position on the ladder with 14 wins and was built on the back of a dominant display by all involved.

No Tiger finished with 20 disposals or more, yet coach Ross McQueen’s team had 11 individual goal kickers and an appetite for the contest.

The skill and poise of Declan Mountford, Sam Petrevski-Seton and Keanu Shandley were a sight to behold, while Morgan Davies and Matt Guelfi were tireless workers.

Tigers aim to revisit 1964
