Claremont’s Reserves recorded their seventh consecutive win after a 13-point victory against Swan Districts at Claremont Oval last Saturday.

A five-goal-to-nil opening term saw the Tigers race to a 28-point lead at quarter-time, before Swans worked their way back into the contest to lead at half-time, only for Claremont to respond and prevail 12.8 (80) to 10.7 (67).

Claremont recorded consecutive wins and moved to within one win of the top five after smashing an insipid and lacklustre Swan Districts by 67 points at Claremont Oval last Saturday.

In splendid conditions, the Tigers won every term, kept Swans goalless in the second quarter, recorded 17 more inside 50s, 17 more scoring shots and had nine goal kickers in the 16.14 (110) to 6.7 (43) rout, as the team recorded their fifth win of the season.

A strongly committed Tigers outfit rebounded after a disappointing loss the previous game with a resounding 78 point victory over West Perth on Sunday. Although West Perth had early chances, Claremont took full control leading by 26 points at quarter time and 40 points at the main break. Claremont’s Reserves recorded their sixth consecutive win and moved one game clear in second position on the ladder after a thrilling four-point victory against East Fremantle at Claremont Oval last Saturday.

Despite trailing at every change, a three-goal-to-one final term saw the Tigers prevail 9.9 (63) to 8.11 (59) and record their third single-figure win of the season.

Claremont returned to a redeveloped Claremont Oval in the best possible way, defeating East Fremantle by three points last Saturday to record their fourth win of the season.

The 14.11 (95) to 14.8 (92) win ended a run of six consecutive defeats, saw the Tigers record their first win since round four, was set up by a five-goal-to-two third term and kept the team in touch with the top five.

6pm - Post-match Presentation
6.30pm - Live Band kicks off again


JUNIOR PARADE

Children of Junior Clubs in the Claremont District are invited to take part in the Junior Parade. They will be led by the Scotch College Pipe Band out onto the oval to march before the Opening Ceremony commences.
This will take place at 1.40pm. We encourage families to get to the oval at 1pm to assemble in the area designated to their Junior Club on “Club Alley”. See Map Below.

OPENING CEREMONY OF NEW CFC CLUBROOMS

Hon. Mick Murray MLA Minister for Sport & Recreation will officially open the building and will be assisted by Hon. Colin Barnett MLA Member for Cottesloe. The plaque unveiling will take place before the League match at 1.50pm.

KIDS ZONE

The Kids Zone will be located on the Eastern side of the oval (opposite the grandstand). There will be face painting for the kids available between 1.00pm – 3.00pm, plus other activities including inflatable hand ball targets and a gym bus.  

Count Me In Round

The four games featured in the WAFL Count Me In Round (Round 12) will focus on the importance of providing welcoming and equitable community activities for people of all abilities.

Everyone is invited to attend and show their support.

People with disability and their friends and family will receive free entry to the games when they present a Companion Card.

Round 12 - Claremont v East Fremantle

It’s been 45 months and 70 games since the Tigers last played at Claremont Oval.

Saturday’s game against East Fremantle at the multi-million dollar facility will not only be the club’s first at the newly redeveloped ground since the 2013 preliminary final, it will also be the start of the club’s journey moving forward.

The club have been faced with several challenges in the last three-and-a-half seasons, including training and playing home games at a number of different venues, however, Claremont are coming home.

Women's Football Report - Claremont v East Fremantle

The Tigers suffered a disappointing 58 point loss to East Fremantle on Sunday. After a promising start in what was an even first quarter, East Fremantle took control for the remainder of the game through a superior physical presence, work rate and overall better use of the football.
