Round 12 - Claremont v East Fremantle
By Dan Scamozzi
It’s been 45 months and 70 games since the Tigers last played at Claremont Oval.
Saturday’s game against East Fremantle at the multi-million dollar facility will not only be the club’s first at the newly redeveloped ground since the 2013 preliminary final, it will also be the start of the club’s journey moving forward.
The club have been faced with several challenges in the last three-and-a-half seasons, including training and playing home games at a number of different venues, however, Claremont are coming home.
And what an important and historic day it will be.
The club will be hosting its annual Family Fun Day, a junior parade will take place - led by the Scotch College Pipe Band - while an opening ceremony will take place between the Reserves and League games involving junior clubs, former players and life members.
Meanwhile, the Tigers will be aiming to record their first win since round four and end a six-game losing streak.
The club encourages all members and supporters to attend the match, cheer the Tigers to victory and be part of a historic day.

- How refreshed will the team be? Come Saturday, it will be 21 days since the Tigers’ last game. Meanwhile, the Sharks will be coming off a five-day break and searching for their first win of the season.
- Will you be a part of history? The club would love to see the Tiger army pack Claremont Oval and be part of the homecoming.
