Former Claremont footballer and club president Ian Goldie has died, aged in his early eighties.
He was a ruckman/forward who played in 24 league matches, making his debut against East Fremantle at East Fremantle Oval on June 9, 1956. His final appearance was in the round two match against West Perth at Leederville Oval on April 23, 1960.

Irwin Lewis, a member of Claremont’s 1964 league premiership team, has died at the age of 80.
Born in Morawa, Lewis is acknowledged as the second Aboriginal footballer to have represented the Tigers at league level (after Maley Hayward, from Tambellup, played in all 18 matches in 1928). The Claremont Football Club is pleased to announce that Matt Angus has been appointed as the Colts Coach for the 2020 Season.
He will take over the role from outgoing coach Ross McQueen who has stepped away from the position to pursue opportunities within the WA State Academy as an Assistant Coach with both the 16s and 18s Squads and Coach Coordinator to Futures Coaches across the WAFL Futures Competition.
