Pre-Season Preview Claremont vs. East Fremantle
CLAREMONT FC VS. EAST FREMANTLE FC
East Fremantle Oval
Sat 05/03/2016 - 2.00pm
Claremont face East Fremantle at ATOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the Tigers build towards the 2016 McDonald’s WAFL Premiership Season.
After a 53-point win over a Western Australian country team in stifling conditions last Saturday, in which the Tigers were represented by a host of youngsters, a more experienced side will line up against the Sharks.
As has been the case in previous years, the Tigers have a number of fresh and familiar faces heading into the new season under third-year coach Michael Broadbridge.
Mark Seaby, Kepler Bradley, Tom Willett and Tom Swift have all retired, while Jordan McAllister, Matt Goyder and Lachlan Davey will not play in 2016.
Corey Yeo will miss the season as he recovers from a knee reconstruction, while Max Bentley is sidelined indefinitely as he recovers from a shoulder reconstruction.
Meanwhile, Steven Edwards and Keegan Knott have joined South Fremantle and West Perth respectively.
Jared Hardisty, Brenden Abbott, Rowen Powell, Dylan Ross and Ian Rowe have all returned to Tigerland, while Jye Bolton, Tom Shanahan, Justin Speed and Luke Maddock are new additions to the club.
East Fremantle also have a number of new arrivals and will be looking to show some promising signs under new coach Rob Wiley.
Tiger fans are encouraged to attend the game as the side ramps up its preparations just 14 days ahead of round one.
Bounce down is at 2.00pm, following Reserves at 11.30am and Colts at 9.00am.
