Numbers Up!
Tuesday, February 23, 2016 - 4:09 PM
The Claremont Football Club is proud to announce the Jumper Numbers for the 2016 season.
With a number of players departing at the end of 2015, their vacancy means the start of a new chapter for some very familiar numbers this year. Notable changes include:
- Boom Werribee recruit Jye Bolton will move into the #11 vacated by Matthew Goyder who has stepped away from WAFL footy to study.
- Returning West Coast Eagle Rowen Powell will hope #13 is lucky for him following Tom Willet’s retirement.
- Dylan Ross comes home to Tigerland and will step into the #17 which has opened after Kepler Bradley’s move into the Development side coach’s box. (Not literally, things aren’t that tough for the big man, he’s just coaching now).
- Tom Shanahan will take #22 as pacy wingman Max Bentley takes time out to heal his devastating shoulder recon from 2015.
- Jared Hardisty will take on #25 of course made famous by CFC legend and current CEO Graham Moss.
- As Mark Seaby moves into retirement, Ian Rowe comes out (of retirement) to take on the #27 jersey.
- Enigmatic forward Matt Palfrey moves down a few lockers from #40 into the vacant #28.
- Retiring dual CFC premiership player Tom Swift leaves his #35 in capable hands with big bodied Wanneroo product Justin Speed set to turn heads in 2016.
- Promising former Werribee bigman Luke Maddock will look to take on not only Lachie Davey’s #39 but also his role in the league side as Lachie steps away from WAFL footy due to work commitments.
