Round 4 Preview Claremont vs. East Fremantle
Claremont travel to ATOM Stadium to face East Fremantle in round four following a disappointing start to the season.
After being overrun by Subiaco in the opening round, the Tigers were no match for South Fremantle last week and will be determined to put on a good showing against the Sharks.
Since their thumping win over East Perth in round one, the Sharks have lost games to Subiaco and Peel Thunder respectively, meaning Saturday’s encounter will be fiercely contested.
The Tigers welcomed back Jake Murphy against the Bulldogs, and will be hoping the returns of Corey Yeo, Mark Seaby, Beau Maister and Tom Swift in the coming weeks can add some experience and firepower to the team.
These two teams shared the honours in 2014, with East Fremantle emerging victorious in the corresponding fixture, before the Tigers got their revenge later in the season.
With the Tigers and Sharks boasting strong midfields, the ability to win first use of the football could prove crucial, however, both teams have struggled for goals this season.
The Tigers have kicked just 17 goals in their two games this season, while the Sharks haven’t fared much better with only 15 in their past two losses.
Bounce down is at 2.15pm, while the Reserves begin at 11.30am and Colts 9am and 16s Development Squad at 5pm.
