Round 18 Preview Claremont vs East Fremantle
Claremont will face East Fremantle for just the second time in 2014 when the two teams meet at the Show Grounds this Saturday.
The Tigers will be looking for a much-improved effort after their 75-point loss to the Sharks back in round four.
However, the Tigers have improved dramatically since then, and will enter the clash having won four of their last seven games.
The Sharks have been in sublime form since a round-eight mauling by Swans, winning seven of their last eight games.
A thrilling come-from-behind three-point win over Swans in round 17 has the Tigers full of belief that they can salvage something from the season having gotten off to a slow start.
The Sharks on the other hand have top-two ambitions and know that a win is vital as they seek to make up ground on the sides above them.
John Williams’ frustrating season continues after he suffered another knee injury in the win over Swans, meaning he will miss Saturday’s game.
Aaron Holt may be set for a recall to League ranks after playing three games in the Reserves following a hamstring injury.
No doubting where the game will be won or lost, with both sides boasting significant strength through the midfield.
The likes of Luke Blackwell, Jake Murphy, Ryan Neates, Matt Orzel, Corey Yeo and Ben Daniher will have their hands full against the calibre of Mark McGough, Rory O’Brien, Bradd Dalziell, Brett Peake, Scott Hancock, and Cameron Eardley.
The Tigers’ midfield group will look to Jack Bradshaw and Brenden Abbott to capitalise on their delivery, with the forwards kicking seven and five goals respectively against Swans.
A win for the Tigers could see the side move into outright fifth position on the ladder.
Bounce down is at 2.05pm.
