Round 17 Preview Claremont v Swan Districts
Claremont will be seeking a return to the winners list when they host Swan Districts at the Showgrounds this Saturday.
Remarkably, the two teams will face each other for the third time already this season, with the Tigers prevailing by 26 points in their most recent clash (round 14).
The Tigers are coming off a disappointing two-point loss against Peel Thunder, while Swans had a bye in round 16.
The Tigers have produced some of their best football in 2014 against Swans, and will be looking to repeat the dose as they seek a strong finish to the season.
The Tigers have also recorded three of their five wins for the season at the Showgrounds, with narrow losses to West and East Perth also in the mix.
Vice-captain Luke Blackwell will have to prove his fitness this week, having been a late withdrawal in the lead up to the loss against the Thunder.
Meanwhile, captain Jake Murphy and Aaron Holt have both played consecutive games in the Reserves as they work their way back from injury.
The Tigers kicked 15.7 (97) the last time the two teams met, and will be looking to return to accurate ways after a woeful return of 9.18 (72) against the Thunder.
The game will again provide a chance for Claremont to draw level with West Perth on six wins, with the Falcons having a bye this weekend.
Bounce down is at 2.05pm.
