Preliminary Final Preview: South Fremantle v Claremont
By Dan Scamozzi
The mighty Claremont Tigers face South Fremantle in the preliminary final at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Sunday afternoon in week three of the 2019 Optus WAFL Finals Series.
Remarkably, the eagerly-anticipated clash will be the third time in five weeks that the teams have faced each other at the same venue, with the winner to meet Subiaco in the Grand Final at Optus Stadium.
The Tigers recorded a thrilling and hard-fought win against West Coast in the first semifinal and will aim to reproduce their endeavour and appetite for the contest as they bid to keep their season alive.
The Tigers will have to make at least one change to the team, with inspirational co-captain Ian Richardson (broken collarbone) unavailable for selection.
Meanwhile, Claremont’s Colts face West Perth in the preliminary final, with the winner to meet Peel Thunder in the Grand Final at Optus Stadium.
Members and supporters are encouraged to attend the game, with the Club calling on the Tiger Army to support the mighty Tigers.
Entry is FREE for kids under 16.
