Round 8 - Claremont v Peel
By Dan Scamozzi
SUMMARY:
It will be a case of two teams looking to end their losing streaks when Claremont host Peel Thunder at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Claremont, coming off losses to Swan Districts, Subiaco and South Fremantle, will be aiming to record their first win since round four, while Peel haven’t won a match since round two.
Zac Langdon, who was in ripping form before being concussed in the loss to South Fremantle, is still displaying symptoms from his concussion and will continue to be monitored, while Matt Davies, who has missed the last two matches with hamstring tightness, will look to prove his fitness.
Ryan Neates, who has missed the last month with a knee injury, and Jack Richardson, who has been sidelined for three matches with a hamstring sprain, are both a “test” for this weekend.
Matt Palfrey will be sidelined for one-two weeks with a wrist sprain, while Chris (CJ) Oakley, who has missed the last three matches with a knee injury, has resumed running, with a return date yet to be decided.
Meanwhile, Charlie Le Fanu has had his moonboot removed following ankle surgery and will be sidelined for approximately six more weeks.
Just like a standard home game, members with season passes or admission passes will be able to use their cards to gain entry.
This applies for our home games hosted away from Claremont Oval.
The club encourages members and fans to attend the match and cheer the Tigers to victory.

LAST TIME THEY MET:
Round 23, 2016, Peel Thunder 10.10 (70) d Claremont 6.9 (45) at Claremont Showgrounds.
TALKING POINTS:
- Can Claremont rediscover their scoring power? The Tigers averaged 125 points in their opening three wins but have averaged just 57.6 points in their last three matches.
- Run-ons from the opposition have cost Claremont dearly in the last three weeks. Subiaco and South Fremantle both had eight-goal final terms against the Tigers, while Swans kicked six goals to two in the third term and the first three goals of the final quarter last Saturday. The Tigers will need to sustain their effort and intensity to defeat Peel.
- What impact will the result have on the ladder? A win for fifth-placed Claremont would see the Tigers move two games clear of sixth-placed Peel, however, a win for the visitors would see them draw level with the hosts on three victories.
