Eight-Star Bradshaw Leads Tigers

By Dan Scamozzi

An eight-goal haul from Jack Bradshaw saw Claremont (Reserves) demolish West Perth by 72 points at HBF Arena in Round 21 to record its 11th consecutive win and strengthen its grip on top spot.

Bradshaw, omitted from the League side following its win over Swan Districts seven days earlier, starred with 24 disposals, 11 marks and 8.3 as the Tigers slammed on 16 goals to five after quarter-time, including 10 in the final term, to prevail 17.14 (116) to 6.8 (44).

Bailey Banfield, Toby Plant and Keifer Yu (11 tackles) won their share of the ball, while Gerrick Weedon kicked three goals and Jack Richardson chipped in with two.

In further good news for the Tigers, Aden Wilkins returned from injury to play his first game since Round One, while Jake Stergiou kicked his first goal in Reserves ranks.

Claremont also recorded 25 more inside 50s, 17 more scoring shots and restricted its opponent to less than 10 goals for the ninth time during its unbeaten run.

West Perth was best served by Scott Nelson, Mitchell Peirce and Brayden Antonio, however, Tyson Moulton was its only multiple goal kicker as the hosts slumped to its third consecutive defeat.

Claremont will look to record its 12th straight win when it faces East Fremantle at ATOM Stadium in Round 22 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Claremont (Colts) recorded its fourth straight win after defeating West Perth by 49 points, 12.15 (87) to 6.2 (38).
