Help Neale find a Cure
AFL playing and coaching Legend, Neale Daniher is looking to raise more funds to help find a cure for the terminal disease he was diagnosed with 3 years ago. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting where the sufferer slowly loses the ability to walk, talk, feed themselves, swallow and ultimately breathe. MND takes no prisoners. 2000 Australian's get diagnosed each year and begin their battle with what Neale calls "The Beast" in a torturous manner.
The Daniher's have been popular and integral members of the Claremont Football Club community fo
r many years. Neale and wife Jan's youngest son Ben played for the Claremont Colts, Reserves and League Teams fr
om 2012 - 2014. Ben was an impressive young player for the Tigers, managing 15 League games by the age of 20 and like his family, was and still is much loved by the CFC playing group, staff, members and supporters. Understandably, he made the decision to move back to Victoria to be with his family in late 2014 where he now plays for Blackburn in the Eastern Football League.

Seven's Sunday Night program has recently released an inside look into "Neale's Battle with MND", we urge you to click here to watch the program and find out more about this devastating disease.
To help raise funds and find a cure for MND, the foundation is selling their new and improved famous blue beanies for $20 each. It would be great to show your support by purchasing one of these beanies. Alternatively you can donate straight to the Cure for MND Foundation via the same link as the one below.
Let's all rally together and help Neale tame The Beast!
