State 18s and WAFLW State Teams Announced

The Claremont Football Club is proud to announce a strong Tiger presence across both the WA State U18 Boys and WAFLW State squads for 2025, highlighting the club’s ongoing development of elite football talent.


WA State 18s: Squad Announcement

WA has officially named its squad for the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Boys, with Claremont supplying an impressive nine players from its reigning Colts Premiership side. Congratulations to the following Tigers selected in the main squad:

⭐️ Cody Curtin
⭐️ Oscar Willis
⭐️ Heath Mellody
⭐️ Joseph Hopkyns
⭐️ George Gale
⭐️ Jay Hill
⭐️ Benji van Rooyen
⭐️ Charlie Watson

In addition, Robert Farmer has been named in the Train On Group, a key initiative designed to give predominantly bottom-age players exposure to elite training environments and role-specific development ahead of future championships.


WAFLW State Squad Announced

On the WAFLW side, four Claremont stars have earned their spot in the WA State Squad to face South Australia at Adelaide Oval next month. Congratulations to:

⭐️ Kate Orme
⭐️ Sasha Goranova

The squad will be led by Claremont’s own Jack Schwarze, who returns as WA Head Coach for a second consecutive season, bringing his expertise and passion for developing the state’s top-tier talent.

These selections are a testament to the strength of Claremont’s player development programs and the hard work of our athletes and coaching staff. We wish all our representatives the very best as they prepare to wear the Black and Gold with pride on the national stage.
