The Claremont Football Club is pleased to acknowledge the support of the Australian Government through its Play Our Way Program, along with the WA Football Facilities Fund, in delivering new female changeroom facilities at Revo Fitness Stadium.
This project represents an important step forward for women and girls’ football at the Club, ensuring our players have access to modern, fit-for-purpose facilities that reflect the growth and professionalism of the game.
The Play Our Way Program is a $200 million Australian Government initiative aimed at removing barriers and creating more opportunities for women and girls to access, participate and remain involved in sport . The investment in facilities like ours plays a key role in building more inclusive and welcoming sporting environments across the country.
At a local level, the WA Football Facilities Fund continues to play a critical role in supporting community clubs to develop and improve infrastructure, helping ensure facilities keep pace with participation and community expectations.
For Claremont, this project is about more than just bricks and mortar.
It’s about creating an environment where our WAFLW and Rogers Cup players feel valued, supported and part of a genuinely inclusive football program. It’s about removing some of the barriers that have historically existed for women and girls in sport, and making sure the next generation sees a clear and accessible pathway into the game.
Importantly, the design has been shaped with input from our female players and staff to ensure the space is practical, functional and aligned with their needs.
We’re proud to be part of a broader push across the country to improve access and equity in sport, and we thank both funding partners for their support in helping bring this project to life.
