Claremont Tigers Announce 2025 Ball Legend: Cindy Farinosi

Author: April

The Claremont Tigers Football Club is proud to announce Cindy Farinosi as our CFC Women’s Icon for 2025. A trailblazer in women’s football, Cindy’s achievements on and off the field have left an enduring mark on our club and the game, making her a perfect choice to be honoured as our legend.

Cindy’s football journey began with the Innaloo Piranhas, where she played from 1996 to 2001, accumulating 50 club games. Her natural talent and dedication quickly earned her state representation honours in both 1998 and 1999, showcasing her skill at the highest level for Women’s Football at the time.

One of Cindy’s most remarkable achievements came in 1997 when she was crowned the Joanne Huggins Women’s Leading Goal Kicker in the West Australian Women’s Football League (WAWFL), finishing the season with an incredible 113 goals. Cindy Farinosi played for the Innaloo Piranhas, which morphed into the Claremont Piranhas and then became Claremont Women’s FC. That same year, 1997, Cindy was recognised as the club’s Fairest and Best, reinforcing her status as one of the competition’s most dominant players.

Cindy’s career was also decorated with team success, securing three WAWFL Premierships in 1996, 1999, and 2000. Her ability to perform on the biggest stage and contribute to multiple premiership-winning campaigns solidified her legacy in WA women’s football history.

She is currently the manager of Claremont’s Rogers Cup team, continuing to play a pivotal role in developing young talent and fostering the next generation of female footballers.

As the Claremont Football Club Women’s Icon, Cindy Farinosi will be engraved into history as her image and achievements will be printed onto the CFC Women’s Footballs that will used in all CFCW Home Games across the season. Her dedication, passion, and achievements continue to inspire the next generation of female footballers, and we are thrilled to acknowledge her as a true legend of the sport.

Make sure you come down to a game this year, where you’ll see our Claremont Women’s sides (League and Rogers Cup) in action starting Saturday 12th April at our Double Header Home Game at Revo Fitness Stadium.
